DH is in the hospital for the weekend, and possibly longer.
They may do the surgery on Monday or Tuesday.
He's tired and frustrated with being cooped up in the hospital and going through all the tests, and is antsy to get O-U-T.
It's hard to watch him go through this and know how to be helpful. He sounds depressed.
As much as I enjoy the time at home when he travels for golf or business, this is different and is Not Fun.
We were supposed to get our Christmas tree this weekend. Number One Son has an away hockey game on Sunday. We're supposed to see Mamma Mia on Wednesday. We're supposed to have a huge Christmas party at our house this coming Friday. We're supposed to go to Florida the day after Christmas.

I'm sorry. I've been through the holiday hospitalization of DH, and while any time would have been bad, I think that time of year was worse. I hope they make some decisions quickly.
When I've spent time in the hospital, I always appreciated if someone brought me magazines, crossword books, gum, snacks, etc. It was a little less boring and I could chew gum quick for a nice clean mouth feeling (if I was unable or in much pain to walk) anytime.
Kristin, I hope all is well soon for DH, and for you. You are in my thoughts!
take him a chocolate milkshake, and if he doesn't want it, you drink it!!!
hang in there, the other life stuff will still be there when you get back to normal...

For some reason I thought that I have read your blog before, but I think all along I was just catching your comments. Today, instead of grabbing the Sunday paper, I grabbed my laptop and while I was in google reader I saw you there as one of the TOP RECOMMENDATIONS. So here I am. I love your posts and I wish you and DH the best this season. I think BJ is right. Take him the milkshake. <:) ~BX
Kristin,
I say take 2 milkshakes. And some cookies. I am so sorry things stink right now. I am praying he will be better soon, and that you can get through this too.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Hope all goes well on the surgery.
