Random stuff, in no particular order about no particular subject(s) whatever.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

...oh, and don't be fooled. I often ramble here several times a day. Really, I know I should be doing something else - but don't TELL.

Yay! Blog Love!

Thank you to Marla from Pak Adventures for giving me some Blog Love. I'd like to pass on the lovin' so read on... (and I'm going to try and not list people I've already given awards to - I'm fair like that.)

Now.. the rules are.... (rules, schmules. Do what you want - even if it's just grabbing the nifty little heart box and putting it on your web site. Or do nothing. Or give it to just one special blogger. Or pass it around to 20! What do I care? Be empowered!)

1.The winner puts logo on her/his blog.
2.Link the person you received your award from.
3.Nominate 7 other blogs.
4.Put links of those blogs on yours.
5.Leave a message on the blogs of those you’ve chosen.

So, here are my winners! (In no particular order - sorry, no favoritism)

1. Lorrie from Our Name Is Blog - well, she's funny and she has GREAT stuff!
2. Linda from Stalked by God because she seriously amazes and inspires me, and she's grown into such a beautiful woman (I know I sound old, but when I met her, she was a teen). This is inspirational writing, and I hope she does write a book someday.
3. Heather from Nobody-but-yourself because she seems funny and real and she's almost a neighbor so maybe we can meet for coffee (or wine) or to feed the ducks or something.
4. Laura and Jenny Fabulous (they count as one because they're cousins) from Livin'Laura and Livin' Life (see, even their blogs are almost the same name)
5. Barb from Blackbelt Scrappin because she takes awesome pictures and she has great recipes on Tuesdays - check it out.
6. The girls from Smartini - they're always serving up something to quench your thirst and they're funny, too.
7. Carrie from Pearls of Something because her observations on homeschooling and kids has me laughing and thankful at the same time.
And because I'm a rule-breaker, I'll add Tori from Baby Bloomr. She's a blend of inspirational and sometimes snark. Plus her commenters can be pretty funny, too.

Update: A few of you have commented to me that you don't think you know 7 other blogs (the same thing happened to me when I started out -it's amazing how quickly it snowballs though) . Anyway, since I obviously bent the rules and listed 9, don't worry about it - link as many as you like, even of it's only 1 or 2 or 3. Have fun and spread the love! :-)

Woo! Thanks for the blog love! :D *mwah*

I'll try to figure out how to get it onto my sidebar now.... I'm not a techno-whiz (though I'm married to one - though unfortunately he's at work right now).

And ABSOLUTELY on the coffee and/or duck feeding sometime! I've got hours and hours of "free" time now that my kiddo's gone most of the day! Heck, I could even do lunch (gasp!) sometime if you're feeling brave enough. 'Cause you know, I am crazy, mwah ha hahahahaaaa! I promise, I very rarely burst into song in public when I'm on my best behavior. *eyebrow wiggle*

Cheers!

Congratulations!!! I love blog awards. Sadly, I've only won one. You are correct, once you start thinking, you realize you know 7 people!!

Btw - a church near me did a blessing of the backpacks on Sunday. It was a Lutheran Church. I also attend a Lutheran church, but we didn't do one. Hey, since I just started back to school, would you bless my messenger bag? :)

Deb - Oh for sure, you'll be on the next list. I was worried that I was pushing it already with 9! :-)

My church is Lutheran too - consider your bag blessed!

God, bless this bag and the student who will use it. Help her to face the challenges and concerns that may await her in the new school year. Be with her as she learns and grows this year. Let her know that you are there to support and encourage her. Show her how to serve you and help her to teach us all about your love. In Jesus' name. Amen.

See? "That was easy". :-)

I love that you love that I make you feel grateful. :-)

Eventually, I will figure out how to do all of that!
