Reunions

Gotta love'em.

We got home last night around 12:30 AM. The kids were sleeping on the airplane and pretty groggy, but perked right up when we walked in the door and the cats jubilantly greeted us! The mice were indifferent and the fish didn't blink, but the cats were thrilled to have us home, even though they received lots of love and attention from our wonderful neighbors, Martha and Theresa. Both kids barricaded the cats in the room with them and went to sleep snuggled up to make up for lost time.

They got out somewhere around 4:30 AM and proceeded to take turns in greeting me and nudging. And purring. And sitting on my head. And generally smothering me with attention. An odd time, yes. But I didn't really mind. I missed them too.

It's good to be home.
